Trachycarpus fortunei. 1 gal.- Windmill Palm 1gal

Trachycarpus Fortunei aka Windmill Palm is native to the Himalayas growing at altitudes of 8,000 ft often very cold and snowy in its native environment.  The trunk on this palm is fibrous and matted looks like burlapp and acts as a natural insulator.   This palm has seen -28 C in Bulgaria with no damage. Grows as far north as Montreal, Canada with protection. Cold Hardiness zone 7 little to no protection.

This palm is often snow covered and gets sub-zero temps in its native habitat. This palm is very cold hardy, originating from the Himalayas and grows at 8000 ft. in altitude. It is often snow covered and below freezing in its native habitat. It has a hairy fibrous trunk that helps insulate it from the cold. This palm grows well from central Florida to the northeast and is said to grow in all 50 states. It grows in Montreal, Canada with heavy protection. There is some work involved for it to live long term here, but there is great satisfaction gained when you grow a plant the tell you should not be able to live there.

It grows from central Florida to the northeast all the way to Montreal, Canada.
